What we actually do
Side buttons are a flex cable and a small mechanical switch. They wear, and they take the worst of a drop because they sit on the edge of the phone.
A button that has stopped working after a fall is often the bracket behind it rather than the switch — different part, different job.
Most phones can do the important things without the buttons while you wait — screenshots, volume, even power, through the accessibility settings. Ask us and we will show you.

Worth fixing, or not?
Usually yes, and it is a contained repair. Worth checking whether the fault is the button or the bracket first, because that changes the job.
